5 Ways to Ignite Your Divine Feminine Energy and Live in the Flow

When you ignite your divine feminine, life works better.

As someone who grew up believing that my accomplishments equaled my worth, I’ve struggled to embrace my divine feminine and actually trust the process of life.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I carry a fear that if I stop, everything will fall apart. And if it falls apart? That means I’m not redeemable, nor am I worth loving.

But over and over again, I am proven wrong — that stopping doesn’t equal things falling apart — it equals everything working together, and usually in ways I least expect.

At first, letting go feels like death, and on a level, it is.

It’s the death of old patterns and chemical beliefs in your nervous system that will do their damndest to hold on. These patterns once protected you, no matter how crazy or insane they seem. So to tell them it’s time to take a hike can feel like the ground shifting under your feet — a seismic shift that opens up a whole new world of embodiment.

When you try to do something out of your comfort zone, your nervous system will usually resist it, not because it’s dangerous or bad, but because it’s new.

You can feel this when you decide to make more money or hang out with new people.

Your stomach tightens, your breathing gets labored, and your mind starts to spin. This is not a sign that you’re doing something wrong; rather, it’s a sign that your body is stuck in a protective program and it wants you to stay away from any potential danger, aka, anything it doesn’t already know.

With this knowledge, you can begin retraining your nervous system to be okay with receiving and enjoying new things and experiences.

Part of this retraining is igniting your divine feminine energy and living from a place of receptivity versus force.

For most of us on this planet, we were trained to believe that we have to “make our dreams happen” and “pound the pavement” for success.

And while some action is required for you to experience certain things, it’s not the whole story — not by a long shot.

Have you ever noticed that you get your best ideas when you are calm and relaxed? Many people report experiencing breakthroughs when they are on a walk, in the shower, or sitting quietly in nature.

This is because intuition speaks when your body feels safe.

When your nervous system learns that it can be relaxed and receive new things, you’ll experience more flow, synchronicities, and miracles. This is not because they weren’t there before; it’s because you’re now at a frequency to notice them.

Here are 5 ways to ignite your divine feminine energy and live in the flow

1. Slow down.

Deliberately do tasks at a slower pace.

When you eat, chew slowly to experience the flavors and textures of your food.

When you walk, notice where your feet connect with the ground.

When you breathe, imagine millions of molecules entering and exiting your lungs.

When you communicate, choose your words and inflections with care.

When you slow down everyday tasks, your nervous system starts to believe it is safe to stop. That stopping or resting no longer equals loss, but depth.

Slower movements allow your parasympathetic response to strengthen, increasing immune response, lowering stress, and helping your body repair.

Slowing down also interrupts old patterns of people pleasing, addiction to the fight/flight response, and prior conditioning that no longer serves you.

If you find slowing down difficult, ask yourself this: “Where am I trying to get to in such a rush?” Many times, rushing is a set point in your nervous system that was created because someone else was uneasy being still or present.

2. Learn to receive compliments or support without giving back immediately.

What do you normally do when you receive a compliment or someone gives you support?

I bet you either deflect it (“Oh, this old thing?!”) or give back immediately (“Well, I love your shoes!”).

This is a clear sign that your nervous system feels unsafe receiving.

This is likely due to something in childhood that taught you receiving often comes with ulterior motives, eventual pain or loss, or strings attached.

Many of us don’t want to “owe anyone anything.” Another protective pattern that previously kept us safe.

Humans are tribal — we cannot survive without each other. This doesn’t mean you have to be a doormat to bad behavior, but it does mean you have to learn to receive and co-create with other people.

There’s a balance between giving and taking, and it’s okay to rebalance the scales that have probably been out of whack for a long time.

The next time someone compliments you or offers to help, take a moment to let your body readjust to the new energy. Feel the resistance and then breathe through it. Nothing is wrong, it’s just new.

3. Know and set your boundaries.

I used to think that setting boundaries meant loneliness. If we’re meant to connect, why push people away, right?

But boundaries are how we protect our energy and our ability to give.

When you’re depleted, you can’t give anything anyway. And if you find a way to push through and give, you’ll likely feel resentment, which is crappy for everyone.

And by the way, boundaries don’t have to be broadcast to the world or even your inner circle. They are for you, so you know your physical and emotional limits.

Some common and helpful boundaries include:

  • Limits around communication — “I will not check emails after 5 pm on work days.”
  • Limits around giving — “I will only give when it feels safe and nourishing to myself.”
  • Limits around spending — “I will check in with myself before I spend to make sure it feels aligned.”
  • Limits around sharing — “I will share because I want to connect, rather than to seek approval.”
  • Limits around time — “I remember that time is my most valuable asset and I am as present with myself as possible.”

Your boundaries will change as you grow, and setting them becomes easier the more your nervous system is regulated.

4. Spend time in nature and by water.

Your nervous system hasn’t changed in millions of years.

It is overstimulated by all the technology, noise, immediacy, and constancy of modern life.

Spending time in nature and/or by a body of water will immediately regulate you and allow your divine feminine energy to awaken.

Your brain waves change when you’re in nature, connecting you to higher levels of intelligence and intuition. All intuition is sourced from your divine feminine, which lives in your sacral chakra, located just below your belly button.

When you have a reprieve from all the stimuli of the modern world, you hear your true self more clearly and start to trust and act on what you hear.

Nature never rushes, and yet everything gets accomplished.

A true sign that you’re living more from your divine feminine is feeling that trust with your own rhythms and knowing everything is happening right on time.

5. Recalibrate your pineal gland.

When I first learned about the pineal gland, I was blown away!

Your pineal gland looks like a small pinecone and regulates the wake and sleep cycle by producing melatonin.

It’s located deep in the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres.

But the pineal gland does a lot more than that. It is the gateway for experiencing higher levels of consciousness when it’s activated.

The pineal gland has teeny tiny crystals in it. These crystals act as antennas to the delta and theta states of consciousness.

In these states, you receive more aligned intuition and guidance, your body repairs itself at a faster rate, and you experience more of your divine self.

When your pineal gland is low functioning (sometimes due to the fluoride in our water supply), you can experience sleep problems, disconnection from your higher brain functions, and less intuitive support.

Start to wake up and recalibrate your pineal gland when you first wake up.

Do some breathing exercises to get that oxygen flowing more to the brain, meditate to stimulate your imagination, and visualize your pineal gland functioning at the highest levels.

Everything is connected, and your pineal gland plays a huge role in igniting your divine feminine and experiencing more synchronicities, flow, and manifestations.
